Happy Birthday, Adam!

Today is Adam's 30th birthday! We are currently cruising along the Alaskan shore, but I decided to plan ahead and set this up to post while I'm gone because Adam was one of the (very, very few) people telling me they missed my blog posts over the last few months. I suspect it is because he likes to be featured here, so what better way to wish him a happy birthday? Especially since I can't do the usual Rockies-game-and-homemade-cake birthday celebration.

There are a lot of wonderful things about Adam, but most important in our relationship is probably his patience. I mean, I spent the first two years we were dating in grad school, promising that I was only being cranky/mean/irrational/etc. because of the stress, and things would be so. much. better. once I was finished. And then three days after I graduated, wedding planning started! Which led to the same promises. And yet, here we are, married. He still loves me even though I'm crazy!

I could go on and on listing all the great things about you, Adam, but there are so many and I actually need to go make sure I'm packed and ready to face the late-Spring rain and cold in Alaska. Oh! And that reminds me: as an additional birthday gift, I promise not to stick my hands under your shirt if (oh let's be honest: when) they get cold today. Best birthday present ever!
